Greetings and salutations one and all.
Over the next month we are having the teens lead the nights. I am excited to see what they have in store for the group!

I think it is a great way for the group to bond and to assume leadership roles within the group and hopefully the church at large.

If you would like to lead a night, please contact me and let me know!

Sep. 12th- ROCK News!

~Wow. What a busy Weekend! ROCK helped out the Community Festival by face painting and selling duct-tape wallets and roses. It was a huge success and our booth was busy open to close! Special thanks to Matt Black for running the show! Check out some pics:

~ Sadly, we had to postpone the Battle of the Bands due to several issues. We are working on a time to reschedule hopefully in the new school gym.

~ Sunday night, we went to Putt-putt and did go-karts and air hockey as well. If anyone wants to get rid of an air-hockey table, please let me know, I think we can use one in the new room.

~ Due to vacations, our new room will not be ready as soon as hoped. Please be patient, it’s gonna happen!

~NCYC SPOTS ARE RUNNING OUT, PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO TO INDIANAPOLIS! If you have any interest whatsoever, please let me know. This is an amazing opportunity for teens to embrace their faith in the comfort of fellow Catholics from all over the US.

1st Annual Parents Potluck Dinner!

On Sunday, September 19, we will be having a potluck dinner for all teens grades 8-12 and their parents (and family's if you'd like).

Each teen is asked to make a meal at home and bring it to the dinner for the rest of the group.
We will have games, prizes and a Q&A session.

Please join us to kick off our year!

Open Mic Night...take 1!

last night we had our first open mic night!
it was a pretty great success. we had about 30 people which is the most of any event to date.

The night was probably highlighted by the trumpet playing, dancing and overall entertainment of one John Dooley. John moonwalked, played the mario bros. theme song and the Indiana Jones music over a blues backdrop provided by a group of extremely talented Belmont students.

Thanks to the Belmont kids, we had an almost full band for each performer!

Next time, we will expand the mic night to include songs the "house band" will learn, so those who would like to sing but can't play an instrument will have a chance to do so.

The night also had a benchmark: we went through all the pizza!
This event will now be once per month so keep your eyes and ears open!

Open Mic Night Jan 17th!!!

hey guys,
for our new semester kickoff, we are having an open mic at the Marian Hall (the caf) at 7:15 on Sunday, Jan. 17.

If you play an instrument, please bring it and do 1-2 songs.

If you don't play, come and have pizza and listen to your friends!

This event is for kids only, if you are a parent, please wait in the council room or drop your kids off and come back. We will end at 9pm at the latest.

Please note, I am not a babysitter...if your child goes and wanders around the grounds inside or out, they will have 1 warning. If it happens again, they will be asked to not participate in future events for 3 months.

All kids under the age of 18 will be asked to sign in and out to participate. They are welcome to use my cell phone to call you for a ride if we end prior to 9pm.

Thanks for understanding!
